Patron. Mr Noel Goodyear. OBE. Sponsor. Mr. Bob Dean. Supported by Ipswich City Council
Dateline. 2024.
I'v been a street vendor of a very unusual product for 35 years. It has been a very different journey that would of been impossible without the help of my partner Karen. And of course Mr Noel Goodyear who unselfishly supported me during the 2008 down turn and asked for nothing in return. The reality is the support received from the Brisbane public for over three decades has ensured the existence of this enterprise of the past. The pleasure of connecting people with samples of the produce from the past was unforeseen when I started restoring and selling old maps and prints but now it looms large in what motivates both myself and Karen. And to all the people we have met and all the great folk who have supported us with their purchases I offer unconditional thanks for the wonderful experience of being able to work for so long in an area I have truely enjoyed.
My issues of Australian historical maps from a small etching press are unique.
Using the 500 year old intaglio process, each map is individually produced
and hand coloured specifically for those wishing to avoid the mass production of modern printing.
These hand printed maps are not commercially available anywhere else. View page above "Hand Printed Maps and Prints" for a description and images
of my plates.
I also offer an ever changing selection of original maps and prints that have been individually assessed,
and as such are supplied with a signed statement of authenticity. These can be offered
restored (usually) hand coloured and framed for longevity in the Australian climate.
These are listed in the ANTIQUES page.

Bring antique maps and prints to life. The sample before and after display is a French edition (1774-85) of Cook repairing the Endeavour in North Queensland. The two hundred and forty year old engraving required cleaning, flattening and colouring.
